The Wrath of an Angel (Brad Porcellato / Philip Moynihan)

She’s sitting across the table and I’m staring into her eyes

They’re telling me a story that her smile just can’t hide

And there ain’t no mistaking cause I’ve seen it all before

The last time the girl looked at me like that she was walking out the door

And I can’t say where she’s going but I can tell you where I’ve been

There was a time when she had me down on my knees and I won’t be going again

Cause she, is the only one to blame

She is driving me insane

She’s got me running for cover trying to survive

The wrath of an angel who just can’t decide

Well she brought me some of my best times and nailed me with some of my worst

She’s the kinda girl you get hooked on she hooks ya with a little curse

Like a devil up from the underground like a freight train that runs in your head

You gotta treat her like a loaded gun or she’ll play ya till your dead

I should have seen it coming because the pieces in the puzzle fit

She had trouble staying with one man before she gets bored mighty quick

I should have changed my name got right out of this town

But she has some kind of attraction and it keeps me hanging on

Jackie We Should Have Made Love (Brad Porcellato / Philip Moynihan)

Jacqueline and I went out for a walk down along the lake shore and out to the dock

We held each other close and had a little chat

My hands changed the subject and she told me to get lost

It was a decade after the summer of love on a floating dock with a six pack of bud

When we were alone it was oh so right the stars could of kept a little secret that night

Jackie we should have made love Jackie we have thrown caution to the wind

Oh Jackie we should have made love oh Jackie we should have made love

A few months later with a home town face the main event scheduled it finally took place

And all I could think when the final bell rang it was you that I wanted but I couldn’t tame

The boys try to hide it but a fact is a fact the girls decide who’s trains on their track

You left stuck in neutral with my throttle floored I wasn’t asking for much, just a little bit more…

Little Janey Got Married (Brad Porcellato / Philip Moynihan)

Little Janey got married in the pouring rain all the who was who was there

But no one really came the local paper reported it all as a total success

little Janey never knew what she wanted her life is a muddy mess her life is a muddy mess

She was counting on tomorrow when she realized yesterday

Mommy wasn’t lying, she just created the part that she played

She meant nothing by it although she caused more harm than good

Jane, your mommy’s just a fool disguised In a better neighborhood

Your mommy’s just a fool hiding out In a better neighborhood

Janey’s smile was big and wide like an old time façade

A hit with the boys she had all the toys her stuff got the nod

She was queen of the local pageant and a cheer leader for the big team

A 20th century debutant living out her mommy’s dream

I got close enough to have a peek inside she said I’d like to saddle up and ride, ride, ride

To somewhere it rains but the skies are always blue

Where mommy asks for nothing, Where mommy takes nothing from you

I see your mommy a big fish swimming in a little pound

Seems like every time I turn that local channel on

She seems concerned but we all have learned there’s a little red light flashing

Janey just couldn’t handle anymore artificial passion

Does Your Sun Shine (Brad Porcellato / Philip Moynihan)

Hey lover are you friend or foe don’t be vague I could live with no

I just need a direction does my course require correction

No response what could she say my life turned and walked down a jetway

She was heading east to find the peace that only exists in fairy tales

So long baby a smile hides a tear living without you is all I’ve ever feared

This jet could mean forever does your sun shine a mile above the weather

I had to call can I help you find whatever drew you away I’m going out of my mind

She says you can’t help make this right its late try and sleep you’ll find peace in the night

With the scent of your perfume on my sheets and a vision of you lying next to me

You left me to drown in Vancouver rain chilled to the bone I’m dying without your flame

I guess there comes a time in every mans life when it all adds up but the answer ain’t right

I tried to live in love but love couldn’t conquer all

I was trying to live in peace when I watched that gavel fall

Winds of Change (Brad Porcellato / Philip Moynihan)

A summer night just consumed a day I had to smile as I felt that old feeling

Remember the way you felt before your freedom slipped away

Remember the way you felt when you did things your own way

When every road you walked took a turn for somewhere new

Breaking ice with each lonely step was all that you could do

I think I feel yesterday so damn near but a million miles away

The winds of change blew my yesterdays away

Winds of change blew me down

The worlds going around so fast now

And I can’t get a handle on you

The winds of change always brought the sorrow

The winds of change always bring me tomorrow

And I wouldn’t want to live a second without you

I met a man who told me had the future in his hands

I watched as he tightened his grip his future broke free and she ran

You know the story is always new yet never the same

One man suffers a loss as another man makes a gain

As some may smile as spring time skies start to clear

Same change starts the drought battered farmers shaking with fear

Some look to the heavens looking for help today

Aren’t they ever gonna notice change blew heaven away

You’ve got a life time of experience but you’ll never be prepared for today

Come on be brave throw your arms up let the winds of change carry you away

Any Way is Up (Brad Porcellato / Philip Moynihan)

When I met Amy she was marching to a call girls beat

Another big city night on a nowhere street

She was looking really tired and looking real blue

I said hey kid we’ve all got a story how about you

She looked right through me with her big brown eyes

and cracked a shaky little smile like she was going to cry

She said man-o-man have I had a bad day

I’ve been working since noon and the hours didn’t pay

I’m going down fast like a sinking ship

I never asked for much and don’t deserve this

I’d have to be a fool to say I’ve been where you’ve been

but when my life gets me down I just remember one thing

Girl, just believe me you’ve got nothing to fear

and if anyway is up it’s up from here

cause if any way is up, yah, if any way is up

I said if any way is up man it’s up from here

She said that sounds nice but talk comes cheap

Its pretty tough to spend I’m trying to make ends meet

and your right in saying you don’t know what I’ve been through

and I’d be feeling pretty lucky boy if I were you

I said come on girl your standing in your own way

Only fools live their lives relying on fate

You’ve gotta take control It’s the only way

If you want to make tomorrow better than today

Cause where you’re going means more than where you’ve been

And when my life gets me down I just remember one thing

Girl just believe me you’ve got nothing to fear

Cause if any way is up Man it’s up from here

I was only little when my momma left

My old man use to beat her half to death

You see my old man never clued in

He watched his life unfold through a bottle of gin

and he really must have hated me to have lived that way

He drank himself to death it’ll be three years this May

I said Amy I’m sorry I didn’t know it was like that

I was out of line and I take it all back

she said man don’t be silly you helped me to see

that I’m going to make it follow up on my dreams

cause now I know I’ve got nothing to fear

and if any way is up its up from here

Mountains are Moving (Brad Porcellato / Philip Moynihan)

Who’s to say that I’m not right and who’s to say that you’re not right

With the mountains moving against the midnight sky I just can’t help wondering why

How much more I can take how long will we have to wait

With the mountains moving against the midnight sky I just can’t help wondering why

They don’t fight so they won’t bleed they don’t represent you or speak for me

Their houses weigh the citizen down full of fools that could stop the world going around

Blinded by the things they refuse to see and you’re the enemy if you disagree

All that glitters isn’t necessarily gold does the glitter they seek smell like oil

We don’t have all of the answers and refuse to act on a guess

Their plan pays their own and costs the rest
