I Won the Canadian National Open on July 15/07

As the great Tom Petty say's... "Babe even the losers get lucky sometimes" Brother Ramon and I entered the Camaro and the truck in the Canadian National Open July 15/07. His car had a clitch with the trans brake that ended his day early. I entered the truck in the sportsman class as I didn't want to race Big Ray. You can't run faster than 13.00 flat in Sportsman so we had to figure out a way to slow it down and still be consistent. We tried a baby Holley (450cfm) that was so small it looked like something you would hang from the rear view mirror. That move ended up taking to much power away and I couldn't cut a decent light. I put a 750 Holley back on it about an hour before the start of the race. I won the first round on a red light but ran out to a thousand feet and coasted to a 12.85. I didn't get disqualified based on the first is worst rule. My opponent red lit before my break out. I went back to hang out in Ray's trailer. He say's race to a thousand feet and hit the brakes. I did. It worked round after round. In the Race 3 video you can hear me get right out of the throttle, coast for a while, floor it again then hit the brakes. You aren't supposed to win in this sport driving like that but... never forget what Tom Petty has to say about that!
